Tzar Aleksandr III Aleksandrovich

Aleksandr III Aleksandrovich reigned as Emperor of Russia from March 13 1881 until his death in 1894.  Aleksandr was born in Saint Petersburg, the second son of Tsar Alexander II by his wife Princess Marie Of Hesse and by the Rhine.

On November 9th, 1866 in the Imperial Chapel of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Aleksandr wed the Princess of Denmark.  The union proved a most happy one and remained unclouded to the end.

Emperor Aleksandr and his Danish-born wife regularly spent their summers in their Langinkoski manor near Kotka on the Finnish coast, where their children were immersed in a Scandinavian lifestyle of relative modesty.

The Emperor not only survived an assassination attempt but also survived the Borki train disaster of 1888.  At the moment of the crash the royal family was in the dining car.  Its roof collapsed in the crash and Aleksandr held the remains of the roof on his shoulders as the children fled outdoors.

Elaine Rushton took the shot!

What a wonderfully substancial puppy he is!

And that cute face :))

Hmmm...Maybe we should try obedience.

Alek will be staying here at Sedona.

He has wonderful substance, a lovely shoulder assembly

with nice balanced rear angulation, full dentition with a scissors bite,

a stunning headpiece, dark eyes, wonderfully sound on the

down and back, excellent reach and drive with nice open sidegait,

very long tail with correct carriage, and a face that begs you to kiss it!

 What a Stunning Head!!!!

He has the regal carriage of an Emperor and represents his namesake well.

We like to say that Alek has "The Tude"

That special thing that draws people to him.
