Gryph was originally imported by Wendy Wilkinson and myself from Finland. Gryph had full dention when he arrived in the US at 6 months old. I checked his teeth and bite personally myself. When he dropped two teeth while with Wendy for 7 months, she decided she did not want him anymore. So we bought out her share of Gryph and welcomed this spectacular boy into our home and our hearts where he will remain forever! Our thanks to Nina Christina Peedu from of Golden-West kennels and Tanja Aaltonen of Samuli who have graciously allowed us the honor of importing this fabulous boy from their most recent litter! He is one in a million with a fabulous temperament and we adore him!
We are thilled to share that Gryph's first time out with us in the ring at just 13 months old, he won WD/BOW over adult competition for a 4 point major!
This year (5-5-2019) at the same show, Gryph won WD/BOW three days in a row with Saturday being a Major!
He showed Thursday, Friday and Saturday and won all three days! We did not enter Sunday.
Gryph now has both majors and 10 points towards his Championship!!!
Gryph is beautifully built, sound on the down and back with fluid ground covering sidegait. He has a stunning headpiece and flowing outline with nice fall away at the croup. All of Gryph's litter mates have full dentition. While he may be missing 2 teeth, we have thought long and hard and decided that we WILL be incorporating him into our breeding program. He is a spectacular specimen and we have strong dentition in our lines. We are excited to see what our first litter sired by Gryph will bring. Wendy's choice to abandon Gryph is most certainly our gain.

Gryph has grown up so beautifully in one year. From the photo below at 13 months to 2 years old on the right, you can see his dramatic transformation from a young yearling to a lovely adult male Borzoi. He still has some filling out to do. We are so very pleased with how this sweet boy is developing and see good things in his future! Thank you again to Nina and Tanja, it was meant to be!
